Assertiveness.

Many people have a misunderstanding of what assertiveness actually is. Many think it’s doing whatever needs to be done to get what you want. Others think it’s being aggressive, still others arrogant. Assertiveness though, could be defined as speaking the truth to someone, in a way that respects them as a person. It includes speaking honestly and truthfully. You can’t be assertive if you’re feeling threatened, because invariably responding from a position of being threatened will see you either be offensive or defensive.
