One thing’s for sure, if you don’t have self-esteem (or you have low self-esteem), you could find yourself being depressed. Self-esteem issues are normally secondary and not the primary root concern (just like anger). Self-esteem can often be overcome by addressing issues such as unbearable feelings, negotiation, communication skills, trust, wrong assumptions and beliefs, and hope/purpose for the future.
