Have you ever stopped to consider why advertising and marketing of products is aimed in some way at our emotions? It's because the marketing whizzes know that most people are emotionally insecure in at least one area. If they can 'touch you' or trigger an emotional response in you in this area, you're more likely to purchase their product. What is the answer then? Be one of the people who invest time and energy into getting their emotions sorted out.
Emotion-based reasoning is a condition where a person makes a decision based on their feelings. Each time this occurs their feelings are confirmed and escalated. Unfortunately, our feelings do lie to us and just because we feel something doesn’t mean it’s a reality. For example, a person could be fearful of the dark, thinking they’ll be attacked, when the reality might be that there is no-one around to attack them, hence no need to be fearful.
Emotions and emotion-based reasoning can become a very dangerous loop or cycle – a trap like a whirlwind or cyclone, that sucks you in further and further. Before long all you can see or feel are your emotions, and they may well be now far from the truth or reality. Take the steps TODAY to break free from the emotion based reasoning stranglehold.
